Belgian group BQG has chosen the Neode Science and Technology Park in Neuchâtel to establish its first subsidiary. The company expects to double its Swiss workforce by the end of 2015.
Founded in 2011, the Biotech Quality Group is the first consulting firm specialized in quality system optimization to the life sciences industry. In collaboration with the Greater Geneva Berne area and the Office for Economic Promotion of the canton of Neuchâtel, BQG set up a presence within Neode, thus complementing the Park’s existing scientific and technological skills.
For Nicolas Mathieux, General Manager of the Swiss subsidiary, and his Belgian colleagues, the wealth of expertise in the life sciences sector was a key determinant in the choice of the location, explains a Neode press release. Being based in the region of Neuchâtel also allows BQG to be closer to its customers.
The company currently has 50 employees, including 7 in Switzerland, and intends to double its Swiss workforce by the end of the year.
