Incyte recently announced the establishment of its European headquarters in Geneva. The company is specialized in the discovery, development and commercialization of proprietary therapeutics, primarily for oncology, and expects to occupy the 800 sq. mt. facility in the heart of Geneva by mid‑2015. According to Le Temps, 80 new jobs will be created over the next five years.

Hervé Hoppenot, President and CEO of Incyte Corporation, said in a press release that the establishment of Incyte Europe in Geneva was a natural step in the company’s evolution. Being located in Geneva provides efficient access to key clinical trial experts and institutions.

The Greater Geneva Berne area, together with the Geneva Economic Development Office, provided assistance and support throughout the establishment process.
