Tasly, China’s third largest pharmaceutical group, has established its European headquarters in Geneva, where it will settle by the end of June.

Founded in Tianjin in 1994 and listed in Shanghai, Tasly Holding Group is one of China’s three pharmaceutical giants and a leader in traditional Chinese medicine. The Group employs some 10,000 staff worldwide – and soon in Geneva too, where it has just set up its European headquarters.

“This first set up of a major Chinese group particularly innovative in its field is very good news for Geneva. A choice that strengthens the attractiveness of our Canton in the Life Sciences sector», said Pierre Maudet, State Councilor in charge of the Department of Security and Economy, in a press release.

The role of the Greater Geneva Berne area, which worked hand in hand with the Geneva Economic Development Office, was crucial, as explained by Tasly’s General Manager for Europe Vladas Snieckus to economic daily L’Agefi: “I think that the GGBa was very efficient, particularly in providing prompt and precise answers to the numerous questions Tasly Holding Group had.”
