Leading banking software company Temenos and Polytech Ventures have teamed up to create Fusion, Switzerland’s first incubator focused on the fintech sector. Based in a 500 sqm facility in the heart of Geneva, it will bring together start-ups operating in any area of financial services regardless of their origin.
The application process is now open: interested companies can apply directly via the Fusion website until June 15. Successful candidates will move to the premium city center space and participate in a 12-month program which includes administrative support, mentoring, funding and post program relocation services.
Fusion will capitalize on Switzerland’s rich banking heritage, its existing business networks and its reputation for innovation in order to support an already dynamic Fintech scene. Polytech Ventures will provide funding for the start‑ups while an ecosystem of corporate partners will provide expertise, mentoring and sponsorship. Academic partners include Idiap, an affiliated research institute of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, one of Europe’s top 10 engineering universities.
The incubator will be fully operational by the autumn.
