Des chercheurs du Center for Precision Medicine de Berne ont d\u00e9couvert quels g\u00e8nes jouent un r\u00f4le important dans les diverses r\u00e9ponses des patients \u00e0 la radioth\u00e9rapie. Ces d\u00e9couvertes ouvrent la voie \u00e0 de nouveaux traitements du cancer.<\/h4>\n

Environ la moiti\u00e9 des personnes atteintes d’un cancer sont trait\u00e9es par radioth\u00e9rapie. Bien que cette th\u00e9rapie contribue \u00e0 la gu\u00e9rison de nombreuses personnes, d’autres n’en b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient gu\u00e8re. \u00c0 l’aide de m\u00e9thodes de d\u00e9pistage g\u00e9n\u00e9tique, une \u00e9quipe dirig\u00e9e par le professeur Sven Rottenberg de l’Universit\u00e9 de Berne<\/a> et en \u00e9troite collaboration avec l’Institut N\u00e9erlandais du Cancer \u00e0 Amsterdam a maintenant identifi\u00e9 les g\u00e8nes qui jouent un r\u00f4le important dans ce processus.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Pour de nombreux patients atteints de cancer, leurs proches et les m\u00e9decins traitants, il est incroyablement frustrant de ne pas obtenir de succ\u00e8s apr\u00e8s une radioth\u00e9rapie minutieuse qui prend des semaines\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Rottenberg. \u00ab\u00a0Nous esp\u00e9rons que nos d\u00e9couvertes contribueront \u00e0 mieux pr\u00e9dire les chances de succ\u00e8s de la th\u00e9rapie\u00a0\u00bb. Les r\u00e9sultats peuvent \u00e9galement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour d\u00e9velopper de nouveaux m\u00e9dicaments qui pourraient am\u00e9liorer l’efficacit\u00e9 de la radioth\u00e9rapie. \u00ab\u00a0Nos r\u00e9sultats montrent l’importance d’une th\u00e9rapie personnalis\u00e9e contre le cancer qui tienne compte des pr\u00e9dispositions g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques des personnes concern\u00e9es\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Un r\u00e9seau international de recherche soutenu par la Commission Europ\u00e9enne<\/h4>\n

L’Universit\u00e9 de Berne a fond\u00e9 le Center for Precision Medicine<\/a> en 2019 dans le but de renforcer la recherche sur de telles th\u00e9rapies personnalis\u00e9es. Il devrait contribuer au d\u00e9veloppement de th\u00e9rapies sur mesure pour les patients atteints de cancer. Pour la recherche sur la radioth\u00e9rapie, le groupe du professeur Rottenberg collabore non seulement avec l’Institut N\u00e9erlandais du Cancer, mais aussi avec des groupes de recherche de l’Universit\u00e9 de Zurich, de l’Universit\u00e9 d’Oxford et du Dana-Farber Cancer Institute de Boston.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
