Le Bern Center for Precision Medicine (BCPM) de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Berne et de l\u2019Insel Gruppe a officiellement ouvert ses portes le 20 mai 2019. <\/strong><\/h4>\n

L’Universit\u00e9 de Berne<\/a> et l’Insel Gruppe ont fond\u00e9, avec le soutien du canton, le Bern Center for Precision Medicine (BCPM<\/a>), dont l’inauguration a officiellement eu lieu. Le nouveau BCPM a pour objectif de d\u00e9velopper de nouveaux m\u00e9dicaments et de nouvelles m\u00e9thodes qui augmentent la qualit\u00e9 des traitements des patients et qui soulagent le syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des th\u00e9rapies efficaces.<\/p>\n

Le BCPM est interdisciplinaire et interfacultaire. Il relie des plateformes techniques comme \u00ab Liquid Biobank<\/a> \u00bb de l\u2019Inselspital<\/a> ou la plateforme \u00ab Next Generation Sequencing<\/a> \u00bb de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 avec des unit\u00e9s organisationnelles comme le Department of Biomedical Research.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0La structure du BCPM s’inscrit dans la strat\u00e9gie de l’Universit\u00e9 de rassembler toutes les connaissances existantes dans tous les domaines pertinents de notre universit\u00e9 pluridisciplinaire et de les d\u00e9velopper davantage\u00a0\u00bb, explique Christian Leumann, recteur de l’Universit\u00e9 de Berne. Selon cette approche interdisciplinaire, cinq facult\u00e9s seront impliqu\u00e9es dans le BCPM. \u00ab\u00a0Ainsi, outre la recherche biom\u00e9dicale classique, la recherche en sant\u00e9 et l’informatique, des questions \u00e9thiques ainsi que des questions juridiques ou \u00e9conomiques seront abord\u00e9es\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Un nouveau centre strat\u00e9gique de l’Universit\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pour Mark Rubin, directeur du BCPM, le centre s’appuie sur de nombreux atouts : \u00ab\u00a0Nous nous concentrons sur l’excellence dans quelques domaines limit\u00e9s, et c’est dans ces domaines que nous voulons \u00eatre les meilleurs au monde – cela a \u00e9t\u00e9 par le pass\u00e9 un bon exemple pour la Suisse. Les r\u00e9sultats d’un premier appel \u00e0 projets aux chercheurs ont donc \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s prometteurs. Notre objectif principal est de promouvoir une vie saine \u00e0 Berne et d’avoir une influence positive sur le traitement des patients.
