Nestlé has opened a new extension to its production facility in Konolfingen, in the canton of Bern. It will produce infant nutritional products under the Beba and NAN H.A. brands, which are distributed all over the world. Thanks to this extension, Konolfingen strengthens its position as a “global center of expertise for infant formulas, infant cereals, probiotics and specific solutions for the complex nutritional needs of newborns and infants”, the company wrote in a press release.
Over the past decade, Nestlé has been investing nearly 600 million francs to increase the production capacity of its Konolfingen site, with the creation of 200 qualified jobs in the past five years. The recent investment of 82 million francs confirms Nestlé’s long-term trust in the Swiss industrial environment.
