Back in March, top-ranked business school IMD had announced a contribution of $10 million from Cisco, the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, to create the IMD-Cisco Global Center for Digital Business Transformation. This new research center was inaugurated on Tuesday. Its main goal is to “help executives who are struggling with the ‘how’ of digital business transformation”, said Professor Michael Wade, chair of the Global Center, in a press release. “[They] know that they must change and adapt to digital opportunities and threats, but they don’t know how”.
In fact, many companies nowadays fail in their digital transformation efforts due to lack of talent and technical expertise. By combining Cisco’s leadership in providing technology solutions for the Internet of Everything with IMD’s expertise in developing global leaders, the Global Center for Digital Business Transformation will concretely help executives take advantage of digital opportunities and neutralize digital threats.
The Global Center is now fully operational, with six full-time researchers from both IMD and Cisco.
