The top 20 medtech and top 20 digital health companies in Europe will have the opportunity to network with key international investors at next week’s Healthtech Summit in Lausanne.

The 6th edition of the Healthtech Summit will take place in Lausanne on June 30 – July 1, 2015. For the first time since its launch in 2008, the event will expand to also include the top 20 European digital health companies in addition to the top 20 European medtech companies. “Building on a strong history of successful Healthtech Summits, this year’s edition will extend beyond medtech, and will aim to be the leading pan-European event for investment in digital health”, said Healthtech Summit President Marc Sluijs in a press release.

The 40 companies were carefully selected based on the uniqueness of their technology and the strength of their business model. They will have the opportunity to present their business plans to international investors and executives from the life sciences industry who can assist them with their global expansion plans.

Companies who have presented at previous editions have raised more than 1.5 billion dollars in funding. Notable examples include Corevalve, which was acquired by Medtronic for $700m; Endosense, which raised $80m in funding; and EOS Imaging, which raised €40m in its IPO.
