California-based molecular diagnostics company Linkage Biosciences today announced the launch of a wholly owned European subsidiary located in Geneva. While giving Linkage a dedicated presence in the heart of Europe, the new subsidiary will provide a foundation for the company’s future development.
The creation of the Geneva subsidiary – which received strong support from both the Greater Geneva Berne area and the Geneva Economic Development Office – reflects the company’s rapid growth and the increasing global demand for LinkSēq™, according to the company’s press release. LinkSēq™ is the world’s fastest and simplest method of molecular tissue typing, allowing the identification of all classical Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) genes in a single test.
Set within Fongit, a leading Geneva-based start-up incubator supporting innovative companies in the Medtech, IT, and Cleantech industries, the new subsidiary “will extend [Linkage’s] global reach and provide superior support and service to customers across the region”, said the company’s CEO Zachary Antovich.
